The Culture Events page is from ART 195 and this is the overviews of some of the opportunities we had to learn from other artists and authors interested in educating others about art.
This is a classroom management plan that I would potentially implement in my future classroom.
This a resource that will be able to be used in Miami University's Art Museum, for an exhibit they will be having/ had, and it will go along with the children's book, "Mahalia Jackson: Walking With Kings and Queens" written by Nina Nolan and illustrated by John Holyfield, that is part of the exhibit. It's purpose is to engage and deepen the understanding of the recipient of the resource and to aid their engagement with the artwork.
This resource can be used in multiple places, but it is specifically designed for the Art classroom. The resource is about Ella Victoria Dobbs, one of the pioneers and trailblazers for Art Education and Art integration in the elementary school setting.
Each of these sites provided connect to a museum who has graciously provided either a curriculum, activities or deeper knowledge in understanding different aspects of their art displayed.
In ART 295 we made 3D models for what we thought as an ideal Art classroom. There was multiple layers to the project including blueprints, a group vision statement and the model itself. As a group our three main ideas and hopes for the room were that it would be: Organized, Focused and Communal.
In ART 296 we learned about Team Based Learning. We were also practicing it ourselves. It was a valuable learning experience and this is our documentation of the different things we've learned throughout this semester.
This is our Team's interpretation of where art is headed and how Art Education will be in the future.
