The resources provided, include solely art museums, since not only as an art education major am I learning to educate art in a classroom, but I am learning to be resourceful. And art museums are a perfect example of how the art community truly acts as a community! Each of these sites provided connect to a museum who has graciously provided either a curriculum, activities or deeper knowledge in understanding different aspects of their art displayed.
BROOKLYN MUSEUM
EDUCATOR RESOURCES
This article gives multiple artist options, depending on the subject matter the artist is creating through. Whether that is painting, photography, sculpture or mixed media. There are often artists who showcase multiple pieces that pertain to different age groups. For example, the artist Walton Ford, created two watercolor pieces, one pertaining to lower elementary students and the other directed towards middle and high school students. I think adding diversity with the mediums that is being brought into the classroom is important. I see how there is opportunity now to show students both photography and mixed media, not just sticking with painting and drawing. Yes they are very necessary as the foundations for understanding the basic principles behind an art piece, but offering an opportunity for students to see the possibility to explore other mediums.

VIRGINIA MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS
LESSON PLAN: TRAVELING THE SILK ROAD: ANIMALS AND ECOSYSTEMS
This activity provided, is a hands on multi-subject game. The museum gives information about the era and events for their specific time period. The game is set up as jeopardy, which involves answering questions and also being able to map out places that correlate with the topics and questions asked. The goal is for students to apply their knowledge of history to an activity that is enjoyable, and also educational. I see how classrooms need variation in how they are expressing information, as it is healthy for students to be learning new ways to learn everyday. As long as the constant fact is that students are able to apply and retain information better, and educational game will be the perfect option then.

THE WALTERS ART MUSEUM
PLAY GROUND MAPPING AND CONCEPT DESIGN
This lesson plan provided is a versatile project, that is designed mainly for high school, but has room to have altercations that will allow middle and elementary students to succeed in. This lesson addresses a process of bringing things to scale, within a picture. Asking questions like how high should the slide be if the swings are this high? Questions that teach students how to use a measurement system within their work, to be successful in understanding proportions. I really enjoyed how they have taken a complicated project but applied it to the many levels of ages. Since the project is so complex, its easy to take just the beginning stages and simplify them and give room for the students to apply their own flairs of imagination. I would love to apply this concept of lesson planning in my own classroom, taking a a complex project and having it used across the ages. Whether I end up teaching at a school that offers k-12, or just a specific age group, having these idea of what is successful is more than helpful.

GUGGENHEIM ART MUSEUM
LOOKING AT ART
This site is specifically a good site to remember for the future. In this site it provides a search, for themes, grades, subjects, specific artists and artwork. After you search whatever you need they provide the picture and underneath the artist's essay and questions that go along with the specific image. I would love to use this in a classroom before introducing a new topic, or how a student could research art in a structured setting. Since they are able to specify a theme, a type of painting, drawing, or sculpture. This site would provide questions to ask to students what they thought, and see from the piece. It structures where the students thoughts go, but also gives freedom for their own personal answers. This site is most definitely a positive resource to remember for future classroom projects.
